Ingredients
Chicken Breast: 2 lbs
Honey: 1/2 cup
Black Pepper: 2 tsp
Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
Garlic Powder: 1 tsp
Macaroni Pasta: 2 cups
Cheddar Cheese: 2 cups shredded
Milk: 1 cup
Butter: 2 tbsp
Flour: 2 tbsp
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they’re fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the marinated chicken in a baking dish and pour any remaining marinade over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
While the chicken is baking, cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add flour and stir for 1-2 minutes, then gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
Toss the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce. Slice the baked chicken and serve beside a portion of creamy mac and cheese.
Drizzle extra honey over the chicken if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with a garden salad or roasted vegetables on the side.
