Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet mixture and stir just until combined.
  5. Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and pecans gently.
  6. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 12โ€“15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet.
