Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and mozzarella)
  • 4 slices of bread or 4 buns
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper, for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté for 3–4 minutes until tender.
  3. Reduce heat to low, sprinkle half the cheese on the beef mixture, cover, and melt for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Scoop the cheesy beef mixture onto bread or buns, top with remaining cheese and optional toppings.
  5. Toast the assembled melts in the skillet or in the oven under the broiler for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from heat, cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground turkey or adjust cheeses for different flavors. Suitable for various dietary preferences.
