Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine egg whites and cream of tartar, then beat at medium speed until soft peaks form (4-5 minutes).
  3. Gradually add granulated sugar one tablespoon at a time, beating on high until stiff peaks form (another 4-5 minutes).
  4. Gently fold in vanilla extract.
  5. Carefully fold in fresh raspberries, keeping them intact.
  6. Dollop meringue onto the prepared baking sheet in whimsical cloud shapes.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour until dry but soft, then turn off the oven and let sit inside for another hour.
