Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon agar-agar
  • 1 cup water
  • Sweeteners (maple syrup or agave)
  • Flavoring agents (vanilla extract, citrus zest, or fruit purees)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients, including agar-agar, water, sweeteners, and flavoring agents.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of agar-agar. Stir well and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Once the agar-agar is fully dissolved, stir in your desired sweetener and any other flavorings you prefer, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow dish.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes, then refrigerate for at least an hour to set completely.
  6. Once set, remove the vegan gelatin from the molds and serve chilled. Enjoy!
  7. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

For fun shapes, utilize silicone molds instead of just a bowl. Experiment with different flavor variations to suit your taste.
