Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples (preferably Granny Smith)

  1. Prepare the slow cooker by greasing the inside with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add the eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared slow cooker, smoothing the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 180-240 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before removing it from the slow cooker. Finish with powdered sugar on top, if desired.
