Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh buttery croissants
  • 2 medium sweet apples (e.g., Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 4 oz creamy goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter (for sautéing apples)

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the apples with a sprinkle of cinnamon for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Slice each croissant in half horizontally, spreading goat cheese on the bottom half, followed by the sautéed apples and a drizzle of honey.
  5. Place the top half of the croissant back on and arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is warm.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding nuts or swapping goat cheese for feta or ricotta.
