  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, warm the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) for about 20 seconds until slightly melted.
  4. Combine the warm peanut butter mixture and vanilla extract with the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and press down firmly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden on top. Allow cooling completely before slicing into bars.
