  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for crumb topping)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (for crumb topping)
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, softened (for crumb topping)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for crumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, and egg until combined.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined, then gently stir in the apple pie filling.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, softened butter, and cinnamon to form a crumb topping. Sprinkle on top of the donut batter.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
