Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut-pecan frosting
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the cake batter into the greased baking dish.
  5. Spoon the coconut-pecan frosting over the top of the cake batter without mixing it in.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the cake is set and the frosting is golden.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can store the cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
