Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Optional: chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly to prevent sticking.
  3. In a bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix with the sweetened condensed milk, water, and vegetable oil until just combined. The batter will be thick.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Top the batter with coconut flakes and chopped pecans. If you’re adding chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top as well.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are set and the top looks slightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For best results, store leftover cake covered in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
