Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet (or about 1 oz) onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker or air fryer.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ranch seasoning and onion soup mix. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.
  4. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and place them on top of the chicken.
  5. For slow cooker: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. For air fryer: Cook at 370°F (188°C) for 25-30 minutes, until juices run clear.
  7. Once cooked, shred the chicken gently with two forks right in the pot.
  8. Stir everything together and serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for cream cheese. Feel free to adjust spices to suit personal taste.
