Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) – peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 can crescent roll dough – for wrapping the apples
  • 1 cup Mountain Dew – soda gives a unique flavor
  • 1 cup sugar – for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – adds warmth and spice
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) – melted, for richness

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges.
  2. Preheat the Cooker: If using a slow cooker, set it to low heat. For an air fryer, preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Wrap the Apples: Take each apple slice and wrap it in a crescent roll dough triangle, pinching the seams to seal.
  4. Arrange in Cooker: Place the wrapped apples in the slow cooker or air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping too much for even cooking.
  5. Mix the Syrup: In a bowl, combine the Mountain Dew, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Pour the Syrup: Carefully pour the syrup mixture over the dumplings, covering them well.
  7. Cook: For slow cooker, cook on low for 180 minutes; for air fryer, cook for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Notes
