Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Grease a baking pan or cast-iron skillet.
  2. Mix the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Prepare another bowl with melted butter, brown sugar, and honey, whisking until smooth.
  4. Combine the egg and buttermilk into the wet mixture and mix well.
  5. Incorporate the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
