Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pasta (any type, fettuccine or spaghetti recommended)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally.
  2. Once pasta is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  3. In the same skillet, over medium heat, add butter and let it melt.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden.
  5. Return the drained pasta to the skillet and toss it with the melted butter and garlic.
  6. Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water until you achieve your desired creaminess.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a nutritious boost, consider adding vegetables like spinach or broccoli during the final minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
