Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the salted caramel sauce, ensuring ribbons of caramel remain visible.
  6. Drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
